isn't great how the smallest things can make you smile?
here's my list:
baby pictures and home videos
old artwork my sister and i made in 2nd grade
vacuuming a clean room
painting my nails
reading the penciled notes in my Bible
a new pack of hairbands
having enough paper and ink in the printer
hikes
hockey games with my dad
all day shopping trips with my mom
late night talks with my sister
being on time
writing with the perfect pen
rascal flatts and casting crowns
emails from my grandma
antique shopping
playing with glue between my fingers
being the first one to use butter or peanut butter
trying to use my spanish at mexican restaurants and ending up making a fool of myself
memories of biddle/gray family trips
seeing an older sibling put their arm around a younger sibling
being prepared and confident
VFW men and women
watching little girls play with baby dolls and little boys play with trucks
blonde jokes
Pastor Davey's sermons
and finally...my senior class ring, which should be coming in a few days.

Scooping into a new jar of peanut butter is my favorite. Especiallly when it's thick and crunchy peanut butter ready to be smeared on a slice of bread. Mmmmm...
Do you doodle on your flow sheets during debate? Mine are covered with tiny stars. (I do this more when I am on the negative and the affirmative is giving their last speech.)
sun in my hair
wind beneath my wings
laughter in the air
its the simple things
that make my day
that make me smile
playing with kids
and adults too
just being me
and being with you
:)
[that's not the best poetry ever (if it can even be called poetry) because it was totally impromptu ... you inspired me Kaitlyn.]
